Ministry Partners, Family, and Friends,
We thank our God for you!
We have loved our time here in Austin and can’t believe that it is coming to a close in 5 months. In fact, be praying for us about an opportunity currently on the horizon. You can read more in our last blog/update…if you missed it, you can read it here.
Also, we did a very Austin thing to do and took an impromptu non-Christmas picture and made it our family Christmas picture…hope you dig it as much as we do.
(Shoutout to the shooter—Mitch Eckhardt of Refuge Media)
This season is full of fun and excitement but also full of running around and spending money. So much of our time is spent trying to be good enough and trying to do the right thing for your family or friends, maybe you’re even trying to impress someone special or just feel happy or worth being around in the weight of such a celebration like Christmas. Basically what I’m saying is, if you are anything like us, it can get particularly hard to focus on the kindness of God shown to us in Christ Jesus.
We should rest in the truth that although we are unworthy outsiders who can’t really impress, or do many of the right things, Christ came to us. God drew near to us through His Son. God chose the religious outcasts (wise men), the unimpressive (shepherds), and the unlikely (unmarried pregnant teen—Mary) to first give His good news of great joy!
Christ our Savior is born—God with us!
Let that hope that we have shine brightly in you this day and in the days ahead!
So, from my family to yours this season—Merry Christmas!
We are beyond thankful for your prayers and generosity.
One last thing…please consider giving a one time, end of the year, financial gift to us so we can finish these last 5 months strong!
Once again, Merry Christmas and thank you for serving Jesus and His Church alongside us!
In Christ Alone,
Billy & Family
