Big Announcement

Ministry Partners, Family, and Friends!

We are so grateful that God allowed my family to know you and have you on my team during my residency at the Austin Stone! Because you were generous, this residency has not only been possible, but it has been an absolutely incredible time of God changing lives—including my own!

I want to share this passage from 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 with you because it has been my theme for the past two or three years…

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies, 21 but test everything; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.

23 Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But this last verse is so beautiful, truthful, and concise:

“He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.”
—1 Thessalonians 5:24 ESV

We are walking in a promise like this right now.

We can finally make an announcement about our post residency plans!!! Take a look…

Let me share some specifics with you really quickly…

Technically we will live in the Rockville, MD area, and McLean Bible Church is where we are headed…specifically the Montgomery County Campus!

We now have an official residency finish line of 3 months…school will be out, and the lease on our house will be over. That gives us the summer to move and get settled!

March, April, and May will be crazy months for us. Lots of things starting and wrapping up at The Austin Stone. Spring Break. Worship Leading at other churches. Easter. Two of our three kids have birthdays in May. ASW Worship Intensive. Two trips to Maryland to scout housing and meet more people. School ends. As well as get everything packed up because the first week of June we will be headed to Maryland.

We do only have only have 3 months left, but I still need your help…

Could you be praying for these things:

  1. Our current financial needs—we need a little more support to finish this residency strong.
  2. Pray that our kids will transition well.
  3. Pray that we jump into community quickly.
  4. Fresh vision for our new ministry—we want to hit the ground running and lead well!

Over the course of the last year and a half, so many of you have been faithful to give. Some have had to stop due to changes in their financial situation, others have simply chosen not to continue. Whatever the reason, we rely on those commitments and now have specific needs to get us through the final 3 months.

We had an increase in our health insurance through the church, and our van had an electronics issue. We also want to be able to continue being generous in our neighborhood and community by sticking with our original support goal, which we are not currently reaching because of some partners not able to recommit.

Overall, it looks like we will need at least $3,500 more dollars just to finish these next 3 months.

We are hoping that we can get 35 people to give $100 one time!

***** OUR GOAL HAS BEEN MET!!! (updated just a few days after originally posting—praise God!)*****

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about our plans or your giving!

Thank you for serving Jesus and His Church alongside us!
